Studies have shown that by tracking these key figures, also referred to as self monitoring, you will be able to lose more weight.
In a study of more than 1700 adults who were overweight showed that the average number of pounds lost when self monitoring was 20lbs, whereas without this method of recording, the average number of pounds shredded was 9lbs. This means that double your amount of excess weight could be lost simply by keeping a food and exercise diary!
